Many of our religious friends view Christianity as supporting family relationships.  Consider the following from Luke 14:26: If any  man  come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. Many of our Muslim friends are either unaware of the contents of the Quran or have serious problems accepting women as equals. Their writings say that men have a degree over women. This was the social view 1,400 years ago. If men and women are equal, Allah was wrong. Quran 2:228 Divorced women remain in waiting for three periods, and it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have more right to take them back in this [period] if they want reconciliation. And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable. Many of our Muslim friends either believe can not be as intelligent as men or do not know and accept their own religious writings. Bukhari (6:301) - "[Muhammad] said, 'Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?' They replied in the affirmative. He said, ' This is the deficiency in her intelligence .'" Long before fake news entered the lexicon, unquestioning adherence to religious beliefs laid the foundations for our post-truth world .    We have grounds for cautious optimism. For the first time in history, almost a full third of Americans (31%) declare that they are neither spiritual nor religious . Compared to 38% of "nones" over 65, 79% of nones under 30 became religiously unaffiliated before they turned 18 . While white evangelicals are on the decline, unaffiliated nones have become the majority "religious" demographic in 20 of the 50 US states . Overall, the religiously unaffiliated make up 24% of the US population—up from 7% in 1976, 12% in 1996, 14% in 2000, 17% in 2008, and 20% in 2012! The direction of the future seems clearer than ever.

Many of our religious friends are unaware of the scorched earth policy of some gods.  One such example is found in Deuteronomy 13:12-16. 12  If you hear it said about one of the towns the  Lord  your God is giving you to live in   13  that troublemakers  have arisen among you and have led the people of their town astray, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods you have not known),   14  then you must inquire, probe and investigate it thoroughly.  And if it is true and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done among you,   15  you must certainly put to the sword all who live in that town. You must destroy it completely, both its people and its livestock.   16  You are to gather all the plunder of the town into the middle of the public square and completely burn the town  and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the  Lord  your God. Many of our religious friends believe that a god answers prayers. But which ones ( prayers)? It seems that the prayers of amputees are just not important enough. Cancer? Sure. Arthritis? Sure. New Palestine church documents 10,000 "answered" prayers A church in New Palestine believes a god answers prayer. Brookville Road Community Church believes a god answered over 10,000 prayers in their congregation last year during a year-long theme at the church called "10,000 answered prayers." Up to 1,000 people attend Brookville Road Community Church each weekend. They turned in cards for 10,581 answered prayers in 2017. "We had people say, 'My cancer is gone.' People got jobs when they've been praying for jobs, praying for years. We had people that had been praying for relationships to be restored for years and years finally be restored. Many of our religious friends believe that religion is harmless. It is not.   It's long been said that religion provides harmless consolation in the face of an unforgiving world.  It seems that religious ignorance is responsible for the spread of death and disease.
